Sunday 27th May TCC Interclub Supersprint - Wakefield Park - Entry Forms, Supp Regs here
COMING EVENTS – POINTSCORE
Sunday 27th May TCC Interclub Supersprint - Wakefield Park
Venue: Wakefield Park, Braidwood Road, south of Goulburn.
Time: 7:00am Scrutineering, 9:15am Briefing, 9:30am Start, 4:00pm Finish.
We urge all competitors to get scrutineered by their local Bronze level Scrutineer in the week before the event to save time on the day.
Entries: $180 Adults, $100 Juniors (16-17years). Maximum 2 drivers per car, entries close on Thursday 24th May.
Directed by yours truly with assistance from Aaron Hoad, format is 4 flying timed laps per run, with as many runs as we can fit in the day depending on field size. Last year we managed 6 runs of 4 flying laps including a short lunch break for officials with a field of 80 cars, and the year before when the field was smaller we managed 7 runs. This event is Round 2 of the
HDCC / TCC / Toyo (and friends) Interclub Challenge, but entries are open to members of all ACT, NSW and VIC car clubs. Preference is given in order of receipt of completed entry forms with full payment, so being in the Interclub Challenge doesn't guarantee you a start.
For those who haven't been to our event before, we like to think of it as a 'No BS,' hassle-free day, where the once a year supersprinter, Novice driver, Junior, Lady, or gravel rally person giving tarmac a try is made to feel welcome and appreciated.
Don’t be scared if you’ve never been on the racetrack before. We don't discriminate against the speed of your car or the size of your wallet. You all pay the same entry fee; to me that means you deserve to get the same number of laps, even if you get lapped by faster cars. Our officials will do their utmost to ensure you get the most out of your experience with us.
One thing I do ask is please don't turn up with oil and fuel leaks as the fulltime staff at Wakefield Park always keep a watchful eye and will request us to get you off the track. If you would like to reserve a place and favourite car number, feel free to call Event Secretary Glenn Inkster on
0404 136 232 after 5pm, or email wakefield@thornleighcarclub.org
Officials please contact Nicole Crowley on 0409 987 210 or editor@thornleighcarclub.org as it is much easier if we know who is coming along before the event. If you need a bed in the cabins at the track, there are still a few places left in the two cabins that I have booked. We plan to once again have dinner at the Goulburn Workers Club on the Saturday night as per previous years.
